Ingredients
- 1 15.5 oz can of chickpeas/garbanzo beans
- 1 clove of garlic (use less or none, depending on your preferences)
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Few cracks of black pepper
- Few sprinkles of paprika
- Few sprinkles of cumin
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 tablespoons water

• Food processor
• Blender should also work!
Instructions
- Peel the garlic and pulse in the food processor until finely minced (can also do this by hand)
- Drain the chickpeas into a strainer & rinse with cool water until foam rinses away
Before processing: - Add chickpeas to processor
- Add lemon juice
- Add salt, pepper & paprika
To begin processing, pulse a few times then leave running - Stream in olive oil until smooth. If too thick, add in a few sprinkles of water
- Taste & season with more salt if needed
- Enjoy!
Note: if the hummus seems thick, add a tablespoon at a time of water
If you’re feeling fancy:
Transfer to a bowl, smooth out, add a drizzle of olive oil on top
